PUBLICATIONS by members of the Anglo-Boer War Study Group of Australia

ABWSGA book

'The War With Johnny Boer' is a record of Australian involvement in the South African War
of 1899-1902. What makes it unique and distiguishes it from other similar publications is that
over half the book addresses the guerrilla war, that often neglected phase of the war.
The editors, both historians of note, have drawn on the letters and/or diaries of 165 particip-
ants, including nurses and civilians. Every contributor bar one, is Australian. Every Australian
Contingents is represented, and every skirmish of consequence has been covered. There is no
other source book that has achieved this balance.

Expected date of publication: November 2000.
Cost: Approximately $A 40
