FLYING FIELD RULES

1.   Flying is not permitted on days of TOTAL FIRE BAN.

 

2.   Fire fighting equipment is to be maintained and ready for use at the field at all times during the declared
fire season.

    

3.   No rubbish is to be left at the field. Take your rubbish home!

4.   Hours of operation at the field are 8am to 8pm daily. No engines are to be started prior to 8am.

5.   The consumption of alcohol by pilots is NOT permitted before or during the operation of aircraft as per CASA
regulations. All pilots must have 0% blood alcohol level whilst in control of any aircraft, including models.

6.   All vehicles are to be parked in the designated areas.

7.   It is the responsibility of all members ensure that visiting pilots have current VMAA insurance and are fully
conversant with the club flying rules.

8.   Persons without current club membership or VMAA insurance are not permitted to operate models unless under
specific instruction of a designated instructor.

9.   All inexperienced flyers should be accompanied by a competent flyer while operating models.

10.  Battery and range checks must be made prior to the first flight of each model every day.

11.  Your correct frequency key must be placed in the frequency board for every period of transmitter operation.
Your key must be removed at the completion of each transmission period. Do not place or remove anybody
elses key----ever! The transmitter pound will be used at all times.

12.       Freehand taxying of models within the pits area is not permitted.

13.       Models must be properly restrained whilst starting and running of engines in the pits.

13.  The flying of models within 30m of the pit area is not permitted.

14.  Flying over the northern perimeter fence is to be actively discouraged.

15.  Whilst in the vicinity of the flight line all pilots will observe correct etiquette and check with other pilots
before commencing take-offs, landings or entering the field. Upon exiting from the field pilots should also
inform other pilots that they no longer pose a danger.

16.  All flying must be done from the designated flight line.

17.       It is the responsibility of the last person leaving the field to ensure that the gates, sheds, toilet are
LOCKED and the water is turned off.

18.       Only the use of current certified transmitters at our field is permitted.

 

Note: Any club member who repeatedly ignores the rules will have their membership reviewed by the committee.
